Oshawa CYO signs three year sanctioning agreement with CHPA
- March 2007 / The CHPA has agreed to sanction the Oshawa CYO hockey programs for the next three seasons 2007/08, 2008/09, 2009/10. CYO President Terry Ruddell:
"I had discussions with the other sanctioning bodies, Hockey Canada, the OMHA and Alliance but in the end the CHPA was the best fit for us"
"It came down to what the OMHA was offering and what the CHPA had to offer. Our Executive voted and the results were 16-1 for the CHPA Sanctioning. This will allow our league to grow Durham-wide and our membership is very excited."
CHPA continues to discuss alliance with GMHL
- March 2007 / The CHPA & GMHL continue to discuss an agreement that would allow CHPA sanctioned members to become a feeder system to the 13 team JR "A" hockey League in Ontario & British Columbia.
