Text Box:                                              CHPA & GMHL    The CHPA's Advisory Director Gerry Hickey and the GMHL's President Bob Russell have reached an agreement that will allow CHPA members to tryout & affiliate with JR "A" hockey clubs in the Greater Metro JR "A" Hockey League for 2007/08.   "This is great news for our Oshawa CYO member as it allows our juvenile players to tryout and make a Junior "A" hockey team," said Hickey.   Any CYO / CHPA players that make a JR "A" hockey team in the GMHL for the 2007/08 season will be able to return back to the CHPA / CYO the following season to play on our JR "A" team if we are successful in bringing a team to Whitby / Oshawa.   The GMHL had 27 players from the 2006/07 season that have received NCAA college offers.  The league is entering its second full season with the addition of five more teams for a total of twelve JR "A" teams for 2007/08.
